The main areas for Bass are in the vicinity of the two strands at Garrylucas and Garretstown. For lure fishing The Curlán a rocky outcrop dividing the two strands is best on the flood tide, whilst the ebb tide is best at the South end of the White Strand(Garrylucas) at the Muscán (headland at south side of strand).Bait is abundant in the form of Lugworm in this part of the beach also(south side), and both beaches fish well for Bass and Flounder, particularly when the water is cloudy and has a bit of motion. A limited amount of fishing tackle is available at the co-op in Ballinspittle.
